The massive rocket named 'Falcon Heavy' took off from the US space agency NASA's John F. Canady Space Center in Cape Canaveral on Tuesday at local time.
This rocket is launched by a private company 'SpaceX'.
Kennedy Center
A Tesla car is housed in the tank of 'Falcon Heavy'. This vehicle will be the first car to orbit space. The rocket is launched from the same LC-39A platform at the Kennedy Center from where the Apollo mission departed. After the event of man's arrival on the moon, it was the watch that was waiting all over the world. A large number of people gathered at Cape Canaveral to witness the occasion. Both Tesla and SpaceX are companies of billionaire businessman Elon Musk.
Elon Musk wants to use heavy rockets such as 'Falcon Heavy' in future missions to Mars.
Space orbit
'Falcon Heavy' has gone on a journey of space at a speed of 11 kilometers per second. This rocket is 70 meters long and can carry a weight of 64 tons in space orbit. This weight is equivalent to five double-decker buses. Only Saturn-V aircraft can outperform its capability. Saturn-V aircraft were used during the Apollo campaigns in the 60s and 70s.
Currently, Falcon Heavy has the capacity to carry twice as much weight as the rest of the rockets can carry with them.
Tesla Sports Car
According to the CEO of Space X, the success of the first flight of this rocket was 50 percent but it managed to launch successfully. However, considering the dangers of the first flight, the old red-colored Tesla sports car of Elon Musk has been kept with this rocket. On the driving seat of this car is placed a fetish of a man wearing a spacesuit. If this rocket was successful in all phases of its flight, Tesla would transport the car and its passengers in an elliptical orbit around the Sun.
And that place will be very close to Mars. However, the success of this flight will be known within at least six and a half hours of the flight. Elon Musk told reporters, "The car will reach 400 million kilometers from Earth in space orbit and it will accelerate to 11 kilometers per second"
