Why have we made a plan to leave the planet Earth? Does it really mean that we are committed to increasing the population and moving to a new planet?

A few days ago there was news that scientists have discovered an Earth-like planet outside our galaxy named K2-18B. The planet is 124 light-years away.

The increasing pollution of the earth, wildly increasing population, social estrangement has become so much that people are stricken and are thrilled at the thought of settling somewhere in deep space. The great physics scientist Stephen Hocking has clearly warned that if a human has to save his own existence, he will have to build his shelter on some other celestial bodies.

Now come to the problem of going to another planet -

K2-18B named Super Earth which is much larger than Earth. Even if the fastest available vehicle is used to reach here, it will take millions of years. Even if it is impossible to go at the speed of light, even in 124 years, a human will reach there. Let's assume that we have reached there, then the temperature, air, soil, minerals, water, trees, plants, gravity, and the organisms there will have to be reconciled.

Our land has become human habitable after billions of billions of years. The life we are seeing today has evolved very slowly.

The conclusion is that it is not possible to settle on any planet, we should take care of the earth right now.
